Where do Jr Dukes volleyball fall teams practice?

Where are the skills clinics, tune-ups, tryouts, and camps held?
Generally speaking, our spring clinics, tune-ups, tryouts, and summer camps are held at the Whitefish Bay High School field house gymnasium. Sometimes these will also be held at the WFB Jr Dukes basketball facility, “The Warehouse,” located at 6619 N Sidney Place in Glendale. We will clearly mark the location for each session in our communications with you.

How do I register for fall teams, skills clinics, tune-ups, tryouts?
We use TeamSnap for all registrations. Your coach or manager must send you an email invitation. You will click a link in the email to accept and join TeamSnap. Sign up to our newsletter to stay notified about upcoming registration opportunities.

How often do Jr Dukes volleyball fall teams practice?
Jr Dukes volleyball teams practice twice per week for 90 minutes.

How many teams does Jr Dukes fall teams have per grade level?
Our goal is to have one team per grade level (5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th). Any more teams will depend on our ability to secure more coaches and practice space.

How many girls are on a Jr Dukes volleyball fall team?
Jr Dukes caps each teams at 12 players, unless a coach wants extra players due to numerous multi-sport athletes on the team. Some teams will have less than 12 players.

Soccer (or another sport with the same season) is my daughter’s number one sport. Can she still make a Jr Dukes volleyball fall team?
Jr Dukes volleyball welcomes and encourages multi-sport athletes. However, if an athlete cannot commit to 95% of the practices and matches, it’s possible she may not be considered for an A team. It is ultimately up to the team’s coach to determine how many multi-sport athletes will be on a team.

Is playing time equal on Jr Dukes volleyball fall teams?
Playing time is not equal on the A teams. All B and Silver Team players will play in at least one set per match as long as their attendance, attitude, and work ethic are satisfactory to the coach.

Do you have Jr Dukes volleyball fall teams for boys?
We do not have boys teams at this time due to available practice space. As soon as we can secure affordable practice space and coaches, we will add boys teams. However, 1st to 4th grade boys are encouraged to attend our Mini Dukes program.

Who can try out for a Jr Dukes volleyball fall teams?
Any 4th to 7th grade girls and who live in WFB or attend a school in WFB can try out for Jr Dukes volleyball fall teams. Furthermore, even though spring tune-ups and skills clinics are not mandatary, we strongly recommend attending them before tryouts.

What if my daughter has a conflict with the tryouts date? Can she try out at a different time?
Jr Dukes volleyball fall teams will have only one alternative tryout date for those athletes who cannot attend the regularly scheduled date.

Who can participate in Jr Dukes volleyball skills clinics?
All 5th to 8th grade girls who live in WFB or attend a school in WFB can participate in Jr Dukes volleyball skills clinics. We also encourage 4th grade firls to attend Mini Dukes if they plan on trying out for a 5th grade team.

All 1st to 4th grade girls or boys who live in WFB or attend a school in WFB can participate in Mini Dukes.
